Initial Concept | The Strategic Plan for the Cultural Landscape for The Woodlawn Cemetery included historical research, site evaluation, a workshop with the cemetery management team, and a written report.
Lasting Impact | Established in 1863, The Woodlawn Cemetery is a 400-acre, historically-significant rural cemetery initially designed by J.C. Sidney and further enhanced by the contributions of many important architects, landscape architects, artists, and sculptors resulting in a spectacular assemblage of features, including one of the most significant collections of historic mausoleums in the nation. The Strategic Plan provides recommendations for future fundraising, planning projects, grant proposals, and prioritizes cemetery projects.
