| The Wheeler School, founded in 1889, is an independent day school with grades N-12. Pressley Associates has worked with the School for six years to create inviting gathering spaces and new recreational, play and meeting spaces to strengthen the campus environment.
| Each campus space is unique yet blends with a common vernacular through the use of unifying elements such as brick, granite, bluestone, black metal fencing and contemporary seating and lighting fixtures. The East Campus has a synthetic lawn play area, basketball court, and amphitheater-like seating for outdoor teaching. The synthetic lawn provides for additional months of outdoor play each year and has reduced maintenance and replacement costs associated with high use recreational fields. The Center campus consists of gathering space for upper school students, table seating outside the student union, open space for recreation, state of the art play equipment, and a synthetic turf field for ball playing.
