| Pressley has created inviting gathering spaces and new recreational, play and meeting spaces to strengthen the environment of this 120 year old private school. The new landscape has helped The Wheeler School in achieving its goal of "enhancing its campus with new and better spaces for students and teachers to create a learning environment that is not just functional but one that meets both current and future needs."
| Pressley transformed the segmented partially paved Hope Courtyard into a welcoming gathering space with informal plantings, seating for students, and universal access between two important areas on campus. On the East Campus we replaced under-utilized tennis courts with a synthetic lawn play area, basketball court, and amphitheater-like seating for outdoor teaching. Materials such as brick and bluestone walls, classic black metal fencing, and large caliper trees are used throughout the campus to both strengthen and unify the campus.
