Initial Concept | Although heavily planted, the original landscape did not reflect the owners' objectives for the site. Our challenge was to reuse as much of this existing plant material as possible in a new design, to insure that the alterations were both economically feasible and presented a strong landscape design.
Lasting Impact | Preliminary recommendations led to a complete re-design of the existing landscape. The existing landscape was analyzed and planting plans prepared to create a more picturesque setting for the development. Plants were added and rearranged to disguise the original, rigid geometric quality of the plantings. Introduced species added a new sense of height and depth to the beds. Trees were planted to give scale and shade to the wonderful whimsical seating areas that were originally designed into the site. The results were immediate and satisfying.
