\| Funded by a Getty Campus Heritage Grant, Pressley Associates and Pfaffmann Associates compiled a conservation assessment and preservation plan for the Cathedral of Learning complex of the University of Pittsburgh.
\| The plan incorporates sound preservation practices for the historic resources of the campus landscape into the operations of the University’s Facilities Management Division, and includes treatment recommendations for streetscape and landscape areas, pathway materials, vegetation maintenance, and the overall connections between the campus landscape and architecture. It documents the historical evolution of the campus and the role of the Cathedral of Learning in the university’s development and city identity, with landscape preservation recommendations focusing on the surrounding landscape design.
