 | Faced with diminished use of their facilities and financial pressures resulting from the increased cost of medical services and reduced reimbursement, McLean Hospital engaged a team including Frank Keefe and Pressley Associates, Inc. to provide master planning services for their 240-acre hilltop site.

 | Through a process involving extensive community interaction and dialogue, a master plan evolved for the site's reuse as well as the continued operation of McLean Hospital. This plan established the core hospital campus of 50 acres, a 14 acre cemetery, 101 acres of public open space, 111 units luxury housing on 24 acres, 13 acres for a 480- unit senior living facility and 12 acres for a 150,000 SF R & D building. This reuse plan was successfully approved and confirmed by a special town-wide election of all citizens.
