| Pressley Associates developed a Management and Maintenance Plan for Maudslay State Park that identifies appropriate treatment and management strategies for the diverse resources and uses of the property .
| The original Moseley Estate comprised over 450 acres of scenic landscape overlooking the Merrimack River in Newburyport, MA. The estate also included formal gardens designed by Martha Brookes Hutcheson, an early female landscape architect. The estate was purchased by the Commonwealth and officially dedicated as Maudslay State Park in 1985. To help plan its future as a state park, Pressley Associates completed historical research, and inventoried and documented the cultural landscape, forest stands and historic structures, which formed the foundation for the Management and Maintenance Plan. The rehabilitated formal Italian garden re-established the character and feeling of the original design in a way that could be effectively maintained by the Commonwealth. | Massachusetts Department of
