 | Pressley Associates designed an approximately one mile long Riverwalk connecting Edward A. LeLacheur Stadium with the Northern Canal walkway, passing through the University of Massachusetts, Lowell south campus.

 | Constructed on top of a utility interceptor that runs along the southern banks of the Merrimack River, the Riverwalk provides access to many of the historic mill buildings in Lowell and new developments such as the Tsongas Arena. Cantilevered overlooks, a pedestrian bridge, and seating areas enhance the recreational use of the walkway. The Boott Mill Courtyard was restored as part of this project to connect the Eastern Canal walkway with the Riverwalk. This project, in association with Western Canal Park, received a BSLA Honor Award in Waterfront Design and an International Excellence on the Waterfront Award.
