| The Kenmore/Fenway development will be constructed as an air rights project above the existing I-90, on three parcels referred to as Parcels 8, 9 & 10. The south side of the development on Lansdowne Street faces historic Fenway Park. Further down, the site on the north side stretches to a revitalized Kenmore Square. The assignment is to knit the Kenmore Square and Fenway neighborhoods together with an integrated design plan.
| Pressley is committed to be part of a design that will "heal the wound" of the depressed open section of the Mass Turnpike by providing landscaped decks, comfortable retail shopping streets, and other facilities of public accommodation at the ground level. Large shade trees, accessible fountains and modern urban furniture will provide a fresh, vibrant city oasis within the surrounding energy-efficient new buildings. This open space will seamlessly tie together the different building spaces and uses, while serving as a green deck for underground facilities needed to complete the latest addition to the Boston skyline. | Meredith Fenway Development andWood & Zapata
