| Pressley Associates prepared the National Historic Landmark Nomination for The Green-Wood Cemetery, based upon extensive research to document its chronological development and national significance.
| Founded in 1838, The Green-Wood Cemetery is one of the largest and most topographically varied of the earliest picturesque cemeteries in the United States and a masterful design by David Bates Douglass, with a rich variety of architectural works and monuments by famous designers. The NHL nomination documents the significance of the cemetery landscape and six historic buildings, six historic structures, and seventy monuments and memorials, with a detailed history and statement of significance. The NHL designation is a significant honor and enables The Green-Wood Cemetery to seek funds for preservation projects from a broad range of prestigious sources, including Save America's Treasures. In 2007, the project received an Honor Award in Research from the Boston Society of Landscape Architects. | The Green-Wood Cemetery Brooklyn, NY
