| The new Cisco Systems landscape integrates the corporate facilities into a natural environment of woodland, meadow, and wetlands.
| The Cisco buildings are arranged around a series of outdoor courtyards and the ecological diversity of the site is reflected in the campus design. Paving, plant material, and site accessories echo the site's natural character. During planning and construction, activities and design elements were adjusted to protect the endangered Spotted Landings Turtle, indigenous to the site. The Mill Pond, which is located at the entrance, was enhanced with a pedestrian bridge creating corporate identity. Selective clearing and planting at the pond edge and throughout the site provides seasonal interest. Site grading creates natural buffers for the required surface parking, while providing a soft green base for the buildings, helping assimilate them into this natural environment. Pedestrian walks and trails playfully meander through the site. | Cisco Systems
