| A green rooftop is part of an overall effort to increase the building's energy efficiency. The green roof enhances the effectiveness of the roof's insulation system, protects the membrane from ultra violet rays, and reduces storm water run-off to lower the building's operating costs.
| On the executive level of a newly refurbished office tower in downtown Boston, this semi-intensive green roof landscape provides a beautiful foreground for elegant conference rooms and office space. Views to Boston's harbor and skyline are now complimented by a field of Sedum flowers. The forms are designed to mimic the flow and mannerisms of the ocean, forming undulations and organic lines to contrast the stark geometry of the existing building.
